KUCHING: Milton Foo, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Public Complaints Bureau chief, has refrained from commenting on speculation linking him to the Pending seat, saying he will leave election decisions to the party and remain focused on serving the public.
“My personal focus is on serving the people. As Public Complaints Bureau chief, I try my best to help those who come to me with problems. That is my primary role right now,” Foo said after a press conference at SUPP HQ on Saturday on the Pending seat rumours.
He added that he respects all party decisions regarding elections and is not ready to comment on his own potential candidacy.
“I think this is not the time for me to announce,” he said.
The remarks come amid rumours that Deputy Premier and Batu Kawah assemblyman Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian might switch to contest Pending, sparking discussions on strategic seat placements within the ruling coalition.
Dr Sim has dismissed the speculation, saying he sees no reason to leave Batu Kawah, where he continues ongoing development plans with his constituents.
