Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Talib Zulpilip’s wish for the nation and all Malaysians is true love for the country, harmony and respect for one another, and prosperity.
“Malaysia Day is the most appropriate time to look at this. I am sure many Malaysians wish likewise,” he remarked.
According to Talib, there had been a recent increase of “badmouthing of Malaysia by some unpatriotic politicians”.
He commented that he found it strange that they were rewarded with promotions.

“There are many instances of people who put the flag upside down — disloyalty. There are people who question the Constitution, position of the rules, national language, and more. There are those who make racial slurs,” he elaborated.
“Stop all these nonsense — it is not doing the nation any good,” Talib urged strongly.
Meanwhile, he sounded that there must be equitable distribution of tax, meaning Sarawak and Sabah— two states which contribute substantially — must get their fair share.
“They need this fair share to catch up,” he stated.
In addition, Talib advised for the provisions of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) to be respected.
“Do not twist them,” he said.
