CYBERJAYA: The Ministry of National Unity has identified 21 locations across 14 states for the development of physical and social spaces.

National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang stated that the proposed projects include the construction of open halls, children’s playgrounds, gazebos, green corners, sports activity centres, centralised community activity centres, community libraries, and walking tracks.

“The proposed development of physical and social spaces serves as a platform for inclusive engagement, encouraging interaction among residents from diverse backgrounds with the aim of achieving sustainable social harmony.

“Apart from fostering unity within communities, the construction of these spaces is also an integration initiative that strengthens strategic collaboration between communities, academia, government agencies, the private sector, and non-governmental organisation (NGOs),” he said in a statement after chairing the National Unity Minister’s Council Meeting (MExUnity) with State Unity Excos and Non-Islamic Religious Affairs Excos recently.

Meanwhile, Aaron said the ministry will develop a Digital Application – KRT Mart to further expand the market for Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) products through a user-friendly and easily accessible mobile application.

“A total of 152 Rukun Tetangga have been modeled as drivers of progressive communities.”

He also noted that close cooperation between the federal and state governments is crucial in ensuring that national unity remains strong and sustainable.

“We cannot take the challenges we face lightly, but with shared commitment and inclusive policies, we can build a more harmonious, united, and prosperous Malaysia for all,” he added.
