MIRI: Areas in the district affected by floods are now under control as water levels are slowly receding.

At 9.30am today, the Miri Fire Department carried out flood monitoring at the Jalan Piasau Camp-Lutong, Jalan Kuala Baram Lama, Desa Senadin and Tudan areas.

Results found that all areas are under control and the floods had completely subsided.

Air surveillance using drones at ​​Jalan Kuala Baram Lama near Kampung Batu 1 and Desa Senadin areas found that floodwaters have receded and roads are no longer closed off.

Meanwhile in Kampung Tudan Fasa 2, APM Miri also carried out monitoring at 8.30am whereby floodwaters are starting to recede.

Three families in the area have been moved to the evacuation centre at Surau Darul Iman Tudan.

Health Ministry (MoH) personnel also went to the evacuation centre to conduct check-ups.

Floodwater in one of the drains in Miri is slowly receding.
