Miri Volunteer Fire Brigades receive grants

MIRI : All six existing Volunteer Fire Brigades (PBS) in Miri Division, namely Batu Niah, Long Bemang, Long Kevok, Long Ikang, Long Laput and Long Lama received grants worth RM3,000 each from the government.

The grants were presented by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Khirudin Drahman during an engagement programme held on Tuesday (July 26) at Batu Niah PSB association station.

At the event, Khirudin also handed over personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant solution to all six PBS.

Also present were the department’s assistant director (operations) Henderi Ardimansyah and Zone 6 acting chief Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee.
