MIRI: The body of a visually impaired man with mental health issues who was reported missing earlier was discovered on Saturday evening (Feb 8 ) in a ditch near a supermarket in the Tudan area.
District Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the body was found by a local resident who was foraging for bamboo shoots.
The deceased was later identified by his family, he said, adding that the man, aged 67, had been reported missing on Jan 29.
Preliminary investigations found no signs of foul play or suspicious injuries.
Police have classified the case as sudden death but investigations are continuing.
