BINTULU: Malaysia LNG Group of Companies (MLNG), a subsidiary of PETRONAS, has extended assistance to SK Bintulu’s preschool to support post-flood recovery through the Disaster Relief Programme for Enhancing Lives.

The contributions, which included electrical appliances, rubber mats, tables and chairs for students and teachers, kitchen cabinets, a printer, and shoe racks, were to replace facilities damaged by the floods and to ensure a more comfortable and safer learning environment for the students.

The symbolic handover was officiated by the chief executive officer of MLNG Group, Mohamed Syazwan Abdullah @ Laga Jenggi, to the headmaster of SK Bintulu, Mohamed Khaidir Mohamed Arebi, witnessed by the Tanjong Batu assemblyman, Johnny Pang Leong Ming.

During the event, Pang expressed his appreciation for MLNG’s commitment to supporting education and the well-being of students.

“Initiatives like this are highly meaningful as they not only help improve learning facilities but also reflect corporate organisations’ care for the development of the local community.

“I will continue to support such efforts to ensure that education in Bintulu is always strengthened,” he said.

Pang also encouraged more organisations to come forward and contribute to educational institutions in need in line with efforts to enhance the education system and student welfare in the area.

Also present was the Bintulu District Officer, Samri Suhaili.
