KUCHING: The Malaysian Treasury Sarawak (PMS), in collaboration with the Kapit Resident’s Office and Kapit District Office, is organising a Mobile Community Service Programme (PKB) in Kapit from today until tomorrow at the Kapit Square.
According to a PMS representative, Kapit is the sixth destination for the programme.

“Through the PKB, the public have the opportunity to meet directly with officers from various relevant agencies and, in turn, address issues they face without incurring the costs associated with travelling to offices located far from Kapit,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Several agencies are involved, including the National Registration Department, the Inland Revenue Board, the Department of Statistics Malaysia, the Accountant General’s Department of Malaysia, the Employees Provident Fund, Kapit District Office (e-Kasih counter), Kapit Division Health Office, Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad, the National Population and Family Development Board of Malaysia, Bank Simpanan Nasional, as well as various other state and federal agencies.

Services such as contractor registration, enquiry counters, payments and checks, as well as activities like children’s colouring contests and lucky draws, are also provided.
