Mohamad allocates RTP funds to upgrade power supply

ROBAN: Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri has allocated funds under the  Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) to upgrade electricity supply at longhouses in his constituency.

According to him, the upgrading projects approved by the Sarawak government includes connecting electricity to the new longhouse in Plunga Atas.

Earlier, deputy head of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kalaka branch, Kasdi Pandi who represented the assemblyman held discussions with the longhouse chief.

“As we all know, electricity supply is a basic need that is very much needed by residents in longhouses to meet their daily needs and all their activities,” he said.

He also hoped the Sarawak government would speed up the implementation of several projects under the Additional or Late Applicant Fund Scheme (ALAF) in his area.
