SERIAN: A woman sustained head injuries after the car she was travelling in, crashed along Jalan Serian-Balai Ringin this morning.
The accident happened at around 6.20 am when a Perodua Viva driven by the victim, whose identity is unknown, skidded out of control and slammed into a road divider near Rasau junction.
The impact left her trapped in the driver’s seat with head injuries.
Firefighters from Serian station were promptly dispatched to the scene, about 10km away, following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they carried out the extrication works to free the victim from the wreckage.
The victim was later handed over to paramedics for initial treatment before being rushed to Serian Hospital for immediate care.
