Motorcycle accident in Mukah claims one life

MUKAH: A youth died on the spot in an accident along Jalan Kampung Jebungan here.

In a statement, Sarawak traffic police chief Supt Bingkok John said the fatality happened around 12.15am, Monday (April 25) when the victim was riding his motorcycle to Kampung Jebungan from Kampung Penakub.

“It was believed that the motorcycle skidded and plunged into a ditch.

“As a result, the victim, identified as Keevan Robert, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene due to head injuries by paramedics.”

Keevan’s body was later taken to Mukah Hospital for post-mortem.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
