SERIAN: A 20-year-old man died while his friend escaped with minor injuries in an accident at Mile 29 Kuching-Serian Road early yesterday.
Vivien Clif Johnson, from Kampung Mantung Birawan, Serian, and Nilie, 19, were heading towards Serian town at around 5.00am when the motorcycle they were riding suddenly went out of control and crashed into a road divider.
Vivien who sustained serious head injuries died at the scene. His body was sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post mortem.
Nilie was also sent to the same hospital for treatment.
Traffic police personnel were at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident. The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
