ASAJAYA: A 27-year-old motorcyclist sustained hip injuries in an accident with a six-tonne lorry in front of a mosque at Kampung Semera Lot Baru here today.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received a distress call at 11.08 am, and a team of six firefighters from the Asajaya station was deployed to the scene, located about 6km away.
“Upon arrival, the rescue team found the victim with hip injuries as a result of the crash,” it said in a statement.
The department added that the man was later moved to a safe location before being handed over to the Civil Defence Force (APM) for transfer to the Asajaya Clinic.
