LAWAS: A foreign motorcyclist was killed while his pillion rider sustained severe injuries in a three-vehicle collision near Kampung Meragang, Merapok yesterday (Apr 28).

The Fire and Rescue department (Bomba) said firefighters from Lawas station were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call at 10.16 am.
Upon arrival, the team confirmed that the accident involved a motorcycle, a Perodua Myvi and a Honda City.
Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist, an Indonesian man, dead at the scene. His body was later taken to Lawas Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The pillion rider, also an Indonesian man, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the same hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Myvi suffered a shoulder injury in the accident and was taken to Merapok health clinic for medical care.
The driver’s wife and three children, who were passengers in the Myvi, as well as the driver of the Honda City, escaped unharmed.
Flushing works were conducted at the scene to clear debris and ensure the road was safe for other users.
