MIRI: Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew has urged the public to prioritise safety on the roads during the upcoming Christmas and New Year festivities.

“Whether travelling or returning to your hometowns (‘balik kampung’), please ensure you drive safely,” said Ting, who is also the Piasau assemblyman.

He extended his heartfelt Christmas wishes to all, encouraging everyone to celebrate responsibly.

Speaking at his office here on Wednesday, Ting expressed gratitude to members of the media, particularly those in the northern region, for their unwavering support throughout the year.

In a gesture of appreciation, Ting presented a tablet to the Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) for its Christmas gathering lucky draw, which is scheduled to take place on December 20 at the Grand Palace Hotel, here.

“Thank you to the media for your dedication and collaboration. May everyone have a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year,” he said.
