MOU inked to boost research and training

SIBU: University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Betapuru Digital Sdn Bhd to enhance collaboration in technology research, education and skills training.

The signing ceremony, which took place yesterday (Feb 17), saw UTS vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Khairuddin Abd Hamid and Betapuru Digital chief executive officer (CEO) Ayden Lim as the signatories.

Meanwhile, UTS deputy vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Shahril Osman and Betapuru Digital managing director Lee Kah Chuong witnessed the ceremony.

The collaboration aims to strengthen human capital development and expand cooperation in the fields of technology research, education, industry, skills training and staff exchange.

In addition, the MoU will also create more training and education opportunities for UTS students.

According to UTS, the collaborative relationship between the two institutions has been established for nearly a year, and the MOU further strengthens their synergy in technology development and learning at the university level.

The signing marks a new chapter for UTS in its efforts to enhance the skills and capabilities of its students and staff in line with industry demands.
