KUCHING: The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sarawak, through a strategic collaboration with the Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS), is committed to enhancing productivity and improving the efficiency of public sector organisations in Sarawak to be more competitive, robust, and efficient.
“The collaboration has been realised through the implementation of the BE initiative intervention for a period of three months at TBS.
“The BE initiative is a practical and holistic approach encompassing seven key criteria such as Leadership, Strategy, Information, Customers, Workforce, Process, and Results,” MPC said in a press release.
On the other hand, MPC expressed its appreciation towards TBS for the successful implementation of the BE initiative intervention.
“We hope that this BE initiative can identify best practices in TBS, especially its contributions to the economic development of Sarawak.
“Our hope is for TBS to become a pioneering organisation in Sarawak in spreading the BE concept to organisations in Sarawak and becoming part of a robust and competitive BE community.”
For the record, TBS has been recognised as one of the public sector organisations in Sarawak awarded the Malaysia Business Excellence Framework (MBEF) certificate.
The recognition will be an added value for TBS to be a guiding and reference institution.
Aligned with the competitiveness framework measuring business efficiency through organisational agility, the implementation of the BE initiative will serve as a catalyst for spreading the BE concept to organisations in Sarawak, especially in the public sector.
It is hoped that this excellent organisation will serve as a reference model and inject spirit and healthy competition among the public sector in Sarawak, in particular.
