BINTULU: Muhammad Mikail Ghazali from Sarawak made a significant mark at the Muay Thai Malaysia Games (Sukma) with a decisive victory in less than 3 minutes.

Competing in the 54-kilo male category, Mikail faced Johor’s Ahmad Akid and deployed a well-planned strategy to secure the win.

Miki, as he’s popularly known, won the fight with a score of 17-2.

Miki’s game plan was to wear down his opponent, and it paid off as he capitalised on Ahmad Akid’s fatigue to land a series of effective punches.

He used his right leg to effectively neutralise Ahmad, which contributed to his overwhelming score.

“I waited for him to tire out, once I noticed he was becoming tired, I went for it and continued my punches,” he told reporters here at Naim Paragon Street Mall on Thursday (Aug 15).

Miki said his strategy involved using his right leg to limit Ahmad Akid’s movement, which played a crucial role in his swift victory.
