KUCHING: The Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi graciously received a courtesy visit from the Management Committee of the Malaysian Council of Former Elected Representatives (MUBARAK) at the Astana Negeri Sarawak today (July 7).
The visit was led by Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, president of MUBARAK Malaysia.
He was accompanied by deputy president Datuk Seri Amar Diraja Datuk Seri Diraja Tan Sri Dr Osman Aroff, as well as vice presidents Tan Sri Datuk Zainal Dahalan, Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Awang, and Datuk Seri Ghazali Ibrahim.
The main purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties between national institutions and former national leaders as well as discuss the continuing role of former elected representatives in contributing to national development.
Wan Junaidi expressed his appreciation at MUBARAK’s willingness to share insights and experiences in efforts to enhance national harmony and progress, particularly in Sarawak.
The visit also served as a symbol of the country’s close ties between its former leaders and state institutions, providing a platform to discuss MUBARAK’s ongoing contributions to national development, especially in promoting unity, patriotism, and social harmony.
