KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has announced his resignation as chairman of Perikatan Nasional (PN), effective Jan 1, 2026.
In a statement today, the Bersatu president expressed his appreciation to all PN leaders for the support extended to him throughout his leadership of thr coalition since its establishment five years ago.
”I wish the PN leadership and its component parties all the best,” he said.
Earlier today, a senior Bersatu leader said that the former prime minister had finalised his decision to step down as PN chairman at 12.13 am.
No reason was given for the resignation.
