AFTER weeks of speculation, My Chemical Romance (MCR) has officially confirmed that Kuala Lumpur will be one of the stops on its highly anticipated Southeast Asian tour – much to the delight of Malaysian fans.
The band announced the regional tour dates via its official social media channels, revealing that it would perform in Malaysia on April 30, 2026.
The concert is set to take place at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, marking the band’s long-awaited return to the country.
As the show falls on a weekday, fans are advised to consider using public transport, particularly the LRT, to avoid traffic congestion and parking woes in the stadium area.
The upcoming tour forms part of MCR’s global comeback, which kicks off with a concert at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, United States (US), on July 11, 2025.
The North American leg includes 11 stops across the US and one night in Canada.
Following its North American stint, MCR will head to Latin America, with scheduled performances in Peru, Mexico and several other countries before moving on to South Korea.
In the Southeast Asian leg of the tour, the band will perform in Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia, with the final regional stop in Jakarta.
Malaysian fans will remember that the last time MCR performed in the country was in 2007, when it played to a massive crowd at Stadium Merdeka – a show that has since become iconic among local rock fans.
