SERIAN: N22 Kedup emerged champions of the Women’s Football Cup after edging defending champions D Samarahan FC 1–0 in the final at the SK St Dominic Pichin football field here on Monday (Dec 21).
The final brought the curtain down on the two-week Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem Women’s Football Cup, which attracted teams from outside Serian as well as participants from neighbouring Indonesia.
Serian MP Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem said the standard of women’s football at this year’s tournament was comparable to international-level competitions due to the participation of teams from Indonesia.
