KUCHING: Naim Group of Companies will hold a talk on the Budget 2019 special voluntary disclosure programme (SVDP) for tax.

The talk is open to members of the public, particularly those who are interested in the recently announced tax amnesty programme under Budget 2019.

It will be held tomorrow (Dec 8) starting at 3pm at Naim Sapphire Condominium Homes at Jalan Batu Lintang, Kuching.

The talk will feature Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd director Linda Kuang as a guest speaker.

Naim’s general manager for sales and marketing Caroline Yeo said Naim has always strived to play a part in community empowerment, such as through various sharing and talk sessions.

In the recent Budget 2019, it was announced that the SVDP is launched to encourage and give taxpayers the opportunity to voluntarily declare any unreported income with reduced penalties offered in return.

While tax amnesty programmes are not new, many are still unaware of how they can take advantage of this new policy to better improve and regularise their tax positions.
