MIRI: NAIM Holdings Bhd has mobilised its in-house firefighting and emergency response team to support the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in containing a bushfire that broke out recently in Permyjaya.
Upon receiving word of the incident, NAIM’s emergency response team responded swiftly, deploying manpower and essential equipment, including drones for aerial surveillance and monitoring, to assist firefighting operations on the ground.
According to a media statement, the company has since been working closely with Bomba and other frontline responders to manage the situation effectively.
NAIM also maintains a 24/7 state of readiness to address any further developments, with continuous surveillance efforts underway to prevent potential flare-ups in the affected area.
Although the exact cause of the fire has yet to be officially determined, preliminary observations suggest that open burning and human activities in dry weather conditions may have contributed to the incident, echoing a wider concern over the increasing number of bushfires reported in the region.
“Our team remains on standby around the clock. We’re fully committed to supporting the authorities and the people of Miri during this incident,” said Haliza Segar, the Regional General Manager (Miri) of NAIM Holdings Bhd.
This proactive response reflects NAIM’s long-standing commitment to public safety, environmental responsibility, and close collaboration with emergency response agencies.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to support local and state authorities in safeguarding the community’s well-being.
