KUCHING: Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has denied the authenticity of a letter dated July 28, purportedly issued by the Ministry of Works (KKR) on a so-called “gratuity payment” to an individual.
Nanta said the letter, which bore his name and signature, was a forgery and had never been issued by the ministry or by him in his capacity as minister.
“The ministry has never issued any official invitation for a gratuity payment ceremony as claimed in the letter,” he said in a Facebook post.
The Kapit MP urged the public not to be deceived by such documents, which clearly contained elements of fraud and impersonation.
Nanta said the ministry had taken note of the matter and was working with the authorities to conduct further investigations.
He advised members of the public to verify the authenticity of any documents or communications allegedly issued by KKR by contacting the ministry directly through its official website at www.kkr.gov.my or its official hotline.
“Ensuring security and transparency in administrative matters remains our top priority,” he added.
