KUCHING: Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi extended warm wishes to Malaysians in Sabah and Sarawak in conjunction with the Pesta Kaamatan and Hari Gawai celebrations.

In his official Facebook post today, Nanta highlighted that both festivities are a reflection of Malaysia’s rich cultural tapestry and the harmonious coexistence of its diverse communities.

“These two celebrations reflect the wealth of culture, customs, and traditions, and symbolise the harmony in Malaysia’s diversity,” he wrote.

He also expressed hope that the festive season would bring joy, love, and abundant blessings to all who celebrate.

“May this festive season bring happiness, love, and overflowing prosperity to everyone. Kotobian Tadau Tagazo Do Kaamatan and Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai,” he said.

Kaamatan is a harvest festival celebrated by the Kadazandusun community in Sabah, while Gawai Dayak marks the end of the harvest season for the Dayak people in Sarawak.
