KUCHING: Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has pledged his full commitment to ensuring the smooth continuity of the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (KUSKOP) after being entrusted to carry out the duties and functions of the minister effective December 3, 2025.
Nanta, who continues to serve as the Minister of Works, said he was honoured by the confidence placed in him by the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.
“I express my appreciation to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet for the trust given to me to carry out the duties and functions of the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives effective December 3, 2025,” he said in a statement.
He added that he would shoulder the added responsibility with dedication to ensure uninterrupted operations and the smooth functioning of KUSKOP.
Nanta also acknowledged the contributions of Datuk Ewon Benedick during his tenure leading the ministry.
“I appreciate all the contributions made by Datuk Ewon Benedick throughout his leadership of KUSKOP. I am committed to ensuring that the ministry’s work proceeds in an orderly manner and that ongoing policies can continue for the benefit of entrepreneurs, SMEs, cooperatives and the people as a whole,” he said.
Nanta said he looks forward to working closely with all agencies, industry partners and stakeholders to ensure an effective administration of KUSKOP during the period in which he carries out the ministerial duties.
