KUCHING: Datuk Naroden Majais has offered assistance to a bedridden constituent who has been facing health challenges for over a year.

Azean Yanti Ebi, 36, is caring for her husband Yazzid Was, 46, who is currently battling lung cancer, while their child recently underwent intestinal surgery.

Yazzid, a retired soldier from Kampong Baru, Muara Tuang, has been bedridden due to illness for more than a year. The family faces the additional burden of approximately RM27,000 in monthly medical expenses.

Azean, a homemaker from Kampung Lubuk Pungor, Gedong, currently resides with her family in Taman Samarindah, Kota Samarahan.

While they have applied for assistance from the Department of Welfare and the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association, their applications are still being processed.

Upon learning about their situation, Naroden, who is the Special Representative to the Premier in Gedong, visited Azean’s family, who is currently residing at her sister-in-law’s house in Kampung Baru, Muara Tuang, on yesterday (July 13).
