National Conference on Integrity and Governance next month

KUCHING: The National Conference on Integrity and Governance 2025 (NCIG 2025), will be held on Oct 7-8 at the Pullman Hotel here.

Organised in collaboration with government agencies and key stakeholders, the conference aims to strengthen a shared commitment to promoting integrity and effective governance practices across Malaysia.

“With more than 1,000 participants expected this year, NCIG 2025 aims to encourage organisations to actively drive positive change, increase corporate visibility, and contribute to building a transparent, ethical, and sustainable national governance ecosystem,” said the Association of Development Finance Institutions of Malaysia (ADFIM) on Monday (Sept 22).

“NCIG 2025 continues the mission and commitment we have upheld since 2022, reinforcing a culture of integrity, accountability, and transparency among development financial institutions (DFIs) and related organisations.

“Its theme on Reimagining Governance for People, Planet and Profit,” reflects the need for reforms and innovation in inclusive governance that balances economic growth, social justice, and environmental sustainability.

“This year’s conference will highlight key areas such as the potential of digital technology, the application of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles, and the effectiveness of governance in tackling contemporary challenges like climate change, corruption, and social inequality,”it said.

“Discussions will also explore the importance of holistic approaches that engage multiple stakeholders, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and promote best practices rooted in strong ethical values.”

High-profile speakers scheduled to deliver keynote addresses include former Speaker of the House of Representatives and former Chairman of the Election Commission Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun; Chairman of the International Foundation of the Prime Anti-Corruption Champions (PIACCF) Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, Advisor on SDG Society Datuk Sri Mustapa Mohamed; Chairman of the Advisory Council, The Economic Club of Kuala Lumpur Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar; Deputy Minister, Sarawak Premier’s Department (Integrity & Ombudsman); Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya, and Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister of Natural Resources and Urban Development II as well as Minister of International Trade, Industry and Investment Sarawak Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

Now in its fourth edition, NCIG has established itself as a premier platform for strategic discussions and constructive networking among government officials, corporate executives, and civil society.
