KUALA LUMPUR: National mixed doubles pair Hoo Pang Ron–Cheng Su Yin continued their fight in the 2026 Indonesia Masters Badminton Championship in Jakarta, yesterday.
The world’s 20th-ranked duo advanced through the first round of the Super 500 tournament after defeating Thailand’s Phuwanat Horbanluekit–Benyapa Aimsaard 13-21, 21-6, 21-17 in a match held at Istora Senayan. Awaiting them in the second round are either the Chinese pair of Guo Xin Wa-Chen Fang Hui or Liu Kuang Heng-Jheng Yu Chieh of Taiwan. – BERNAMA
