KUCHING: The Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) will be opening its vessels for public visits during the upcoming Open Ship event at the Pending Public Port here, on May 10 and 11 from 8 am to 7 pm.

Visitors will have the opportunity to board and tour four naval ships, namely KD Kelantan, KD Selangor, KD Sundang and KD Rencong, while learning more about naval operations and maritime defence.

The event also features various attractions including a TLDM and army career exhibition, static displays of military assets, sales of official navy merchandise, a floating restaurant, and the signature sunset ceremony.

Members of the public are encouraged to come in large numbers and take part in this rare opportunity to experience the navy up close.
