ROBAN: The installation of a cash recycling machine (CRM) at the Roban Sub-District Office is a significant step forward in improving banking access for the local community.
Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri said the presence of the CRM provides much-needed convenience to residents, eliminating the need for long-distance travel to conduct banking transactions.
“I am sure this CRM brings great relief to the people here. Previously, residents had to travel 20 minutes to Saratok just to withdraw or deposit money. Now, that is no longer necessary,” he said after inspecting the new facility.
He explained that a CRM is a dual-function machine that allows both cash withdrawals and deposits, making banking transactions such as fund transfers and cash deposits more accessible.
“I am grateful for the government’s efforts in providing this essential facility.
“I urge all users to take care of it and avoid vandalism. If maintained well, it will serve the community for a long time. Otherwise, damage or misuse will only inconvenience us all,” he added.
Mohamad also expressed hope that a commercial bank branch would be established in Roban, given the town’s rapid development.
“More comprehensive banking facilities are highly anticipated in the future,” he said.
During the visit, Mohamad personally tested the CRM, accompanied by Roban Sub-District officer in charge, Steve Miller Nuas.
