KUCHING: Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, received a courtesy visit from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) delegation at his office on Wednesday.
The delegation was led by Bomba Sarawak’s newly appointed director, Jamri Masran, marking his first official courtesy visit since assuming the role on December 2, 2024.
During the meeting, Mohamad Abu Bakar discussed key issues concerning fire preparedness in Sarawak.
One of the main topics was the strategic development of fire stations to strengthen the department’s ability to respond to fire incidents and accidents, particularly along the rapidly growing Pan Borneo Highway.
He expressed his gratitude for the visit and reaffirmed the Sarawak government’s commitment to ongoing collaboration with Bomba Sarawak to ensure the continued safety and well-being of the public.
Also present were Bomba Sarawak’s assistant director of the Fire Safety Division, Henderi Ardimansyah; assistant director of the Fire and Rescue Operations Division, Alimaddia Bukri; and public relations officer, Nazry Mohamat.
