BINTANGOR: A total of nine projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for the Meradong constituency have been successfully completed on schedule, enhancing infrastructure and facilities for the local community.
Its assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing praised the performance of the appointed contractors, who were selected through a ballot, for successfully executing the projects according to the specified standards.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Meradong and Julau District Council (MDMJ) as the implementing agency for ensuring the smooth execution of the projects.
“These RTP projects are a strategic initiative by the Sarawak government to improve local infrastructure and ensure that residents have better access to essential facilities,” he said when met at the project site recently.
Among the completed projects are upgrades to main roads, healthcare infrastructure, village connectivity systems, and the provision of sports courts, with a total allocation of RM650,000.
This achievement is expected to provide direct benefits to the local community and support the state government’s efforts toward more sustainable rural development.
