MUKAH: An officer of the Mukah Division Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Department, Timothy Dominic Atong disclosed that the public will not be charged for using the toilets at Mukah Stadium.
“This is so because the facility belongs to the government. I would like to clarify that no charge would be imposed on users of the facility at the Mukah Stadium and not as stated and being spread in the social media last Monday. I am deeply sorry for the error and look forward to cooperation from the public as it is important especially on the cleanliness aspect. No spike shoes are allowed on the running track,” he said.
Timothy hoped that members of the public would make full use of the stadium as it is meant for their benefit.
“The Mukah Stadium will be open to the public this Friday (7 July) from 5pm to 7pm. At the moment, the stadium is open from Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm while on Saturday and Sunday it is open from 6am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm.
“For a start only the running track is open to the public,” he explained.
