MIRI: The Miri City Council (MCC) recently has issued four compound notices to traders at Taman Tunku for trading without valid permits.

In a statement released today, the council has ordered that all activities operating without approval from the MCC or the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee will cease to operate.

On the revised standard operating procedures (SOPs) that had come into effect since April 13 which applies to red zones, business operators are urged to give full cooperation and adherence to the SOPs.

The statement added that MCC enforcement officers have been assigned to conduct daily observation from 10pm at targeted zones.

Enforcement operations will be accelerated at all public places and business premises to ensure public compliance.
