MUKAH: The non-functional street lights along a road leading to Kampung Petanak Daya here will be fixed soon.

Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM) deputy walikota Jay Keram, said while maintenance of street lights was directly under Syarikat Sesco Berhad (Sesco), it has been included in the council’s work package.

“Action (on the matter) will be taken in two days’ time,” he told New Sarawak Tribune on Friday (Sept 24).

He was asked about the non-functional street lights issue which was published in New Sarawak Tribune online on Thursday (Sept 23).

It was reported that some street lights at a road leading to Kampung Petanak Daya have not been operating for a couple of months.

There are 13 street lights along the road, which stretched from Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Agama (Majlis Islam Sarawak).
