KUCHING: Are you planning your next vacation? Then beware.
Fraudsters on the prowl, impersonating the Inter-Continental Travel Centre Sdn Bhd as “TRAVELO HOLIDAY” to trick unsuspecting victims.
The travel agency said scammers are using the company’s official address alongside multiple fake phone numbers to lend credibility to their schemes, noting that the agency has no connection with the fraudulent individuals.
“Do not fall victim to their devious tactics. Always double-check your information and avoid trusting unsolicited offers.
“Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. We are already taking steps to investigate and combat these fraudulent activities, in close cooperation with the authorities,” the travel agency said, adding that it never shares personal information or makes payments to unknown individuals.

“Always verify the legitimacy of any transaction by contacting the company through official channels to ensure the offer is genuine.
“If you encounter any suspicious activity or offers using the company’s name or address, report it immediately,” it said.
