SARIKEI: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii has urged the local people to fully obey the Movement Control Order (MCO) by staying at home.
He said the state government wanted to protect the people and hoped that the Covid-19 outbreak could be resolved as soon as possible.
Huang commended all local traders for obeying the MCO throughout the enforcement period.
“The government understands that the MCO has affected the economy but the order has to be implemented for the safety of the people,” he said.
Huang then urged the public not to attend meetings; maintain good hygiene; wear mouth and nose masks when going out; and frequently wash hands to prevent infection.
“Anyone who has fever and feel unwell should seek treatment at a nearby hospital or clinic,” he said.
