KUCHING: Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) has clarified that a viral video claiming to show the parade route for the Kuching Street Parade in conjunction with Pesta Kuching 2025 was not issued by the council.
In its Facebook post, DBKU said the parade was scheduled to take place this Saturday (Aug 16) but the official route had not been announced yet.
“Any official information on DBKU-organised programmes and activities will only be released through our official channels, namely, the DBKU website, official social media platforms and recognised print and electronic media,” it said.
The council advised the public not to spread unverified information to avoid confusion and to always refer to official sources or the authorities for accurate updates.
The official parade route will be announced at a press conference tomorrow (Aug 12).
