KUALA LUMPUR: OGX Group Bhd wholly owned subsidiary OGX Networks Sdn Bhd (OGXN) has accepted a letter of award (LoA) from a private limited company in Malaysia worth RM96.64 million.
OGX said in a Bursa Malaysia filing that the contract is to supply fibre optic cables, patch panels and related materials for data centre applications. OGXN is required to deliver the products within six months from the award date.
“The LoA is envisaged to strengthen OGX and its subsidiaries’ presence in the data centre market and enhance its participation in the data centre supply chain. The data centre products are intended to support high-capacity fibre optic connectivity and related network infrastructure for data centre operations,” it said.
OGX said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending May 31, 2027.
Separately, managing director Tan Suan Loong said: “Our data centre products are intended to support high-capacity fibre optic connectivity and related network infrastructure, which forms the backbone of data centre operations.
“We remain committed to delivering high-quality products that meet the stringent requirements of such projects. We believe this LoA positions us well to capture further opportunities within the data centre ecosystem while contributing to the continued growth of digital infrastructure in Malaysia. – BERNAMA
