BINTULU: OM Materials (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd (OM Sarawak) has donated 300 sets of tables and chairs for students, along with seven sets for teachers at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sungai Tisang.

In a press statement, the company said the contribution aims to create a better learning environment for both students and teachers.

SK Sungai Tisang is among the schools selected under the Sarawak government’s redevelopment plan to restore dilapidated schools.

During the redevelopment, the school underwent two relocations, which caused significant damage to its furniture and resulted in a shortage of essential desks and chairs.

Bintulu District Education Office brought this urgent need to OM Sarawak’s attention, leading to the timely contribution.

“We are very thankful to OM Sarawak for donating furniture to SK Sungai Tisang,” said Deputy Education Officer for the School Management Sector, Bintulu District Education Office Law Siong Lee.

SK Sungai Tisang headmistress Arbah Tusin also expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the contribution.
