SERIAN: A driver sustained injuries following a three-vehicle collision at Punda junction along Jalan Serian-Sri Aman yesterday evening.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said the accident involved a Toyota Estima, a Toyota Hilux, and a Proton Wira.

“Personnel from the Serian station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 5:21 pm.

“Upon arrival, it was found that the Proton Wira driver sustained hand injuries, while the passenger escaped unhurt.

“Meanwhile, all occupants of the other two vehicles were reported safe,” the department said in a statment.

No rescue operation was required as the injured driver was not trapped and had already been assisted out of the vehicle by members of the public before the firefighters arrived.

Firefighters provided initial medical treatment to the injured driver before handing him over to the Civil Defence Force (APM) for further action.
