KUCHING: Visitors to the Nyamai Sarawak Gastronomy Festival 2025 at the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) will need to rely on a shuttle bus service, as private vehicles, taxis, and e-hailing cars will not be allowed beyond the Damai Golf Course T-Junction during the festival.
The minimal-fee shuttle service, operated by Alibaba Coach Sdn Bhd, will run throughout the two-day festival on December 6 and 7, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with departures starting as early as 8:00 am depending on the route.
Return trips from SCV will be offered at scheduled intervals until 6:30 pm.
Three pick-up points have been designated for the service: Bandar Baru Samariang (near Mydin), Stadium Sarawak (Celebration Square), and Santubong T-Junction. Payments can be made via cash, debit/credit card, DuitNow, TNG, or Sarawak Pay, while infants (0-24 months) and seniors aged 60 and above enjoy complimentary rides.
The festival, which celebrates Sarawak’s food, culture, crafts, performances, and community activities, is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily.
Visitors are encouraged to wear traditional costumes while exploring the living museum grounds.
Admission is free for those who follow and like the official Nyamai Facebook and Instagram pages.
The public is advised to plan their journey early and fully utilise the shuttle service for a smooth festival experience.
