LUNDU: Villagers in the Opar constituency are set to benefit from two new projects, namely a RM450,000 multipurpose hall in Kampung Stungkor Baru and a RM1.2 million agricultural road in Kampung Stenggang.

Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang said the multipurpose hall was long overdue and would finally provide the community with a proper space for gatherings, learning programmes and official meetings.

“This facility has been requested for many years. I believe the project will be completed on time and fully serve the people here,” he said during the handover ceremony yesterday (Sept 12).

Billy also inspected the 2.2-kilometre agricultural road linking Ruh Puluoh to Sungai Situ, which he described as vital to improving farmers’ access and productivity.

The new road will cut travel time, ease the transport of produce and strengthen links within the local farming community.
