SERIAN: A 29-year-old man sustained injuries to his right hand after the crane he was operating lost its balance and crashed into a fence at a construction site along Jalan Sebangkoi Lama, Balai Ringin here on Friday.

The victim receives treatment before being transported to Serian Hospital.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) reported receiving a call regarding the incident at 10:51 am, and deployed a team of firefighters from the Serian fire station to the scene, located approximately 55 kilometres away.

“Upon arrival, the victim had already been rescued by members of the public, and was found with injuries to his right hand,” Bomba said in a statement.

Firefighters administered initial treatment before transporting the victim to Serian Hospital for further medical attention.

The operations concluded at 12:10 pm after ensuring the area was safe.
