MIRI: A 32-year-old Indonesian woman was arrested by the police on Wednesday night at a budget inn here on suspicion of prostitution.
The suspect was arrested during ‘Ops Noda’ conducted in the area around 10.30 pm.
Ten unused condoms and a tube of lubricant were also seized from a room inside the inn at Jalan Cressandra here.
According to sources, prior to the arrest a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel disguised as a ‘customer’ had walked in to the inn after making a reservation.
A team of CID personnel then entered the room to arrest the woman.
The woman is being detained at Miri Central Police Station(CPS) for questioning.
