KUCHING: The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) provided Ramadan contributions to 20 orphans from the Pusat Kebajikan Datuk Amar Hajjah Juma’ani, demonstrating care and support for the underprivileged.
The contributions were presented by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg during the breaking of fast ceremony at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) complex on Thursday (Mar 20).
DBKU said the event aimed to strengthen ties between the state leadership, DBKU staff, and the local community while fostering the spirit of Ramadan, a month full of blessings.
“A total of 300 DBKU staff attended the event, enhancing the festive atmosphere and sharing in the breaking of fast.
“The presence of the Premier reflected the state government’s commitment to appreciating the role of civil servants and strengthening solidarity in state administration,” it said in a statement.
DBKU expressed its hopes that such events will continue in the future as a platform to foster closer relationships and enhance teamwork among DBKU personnel.
