KUCHING: The Tun Jugah Foundation announced the release of a revised edition of their book on Iban proverbs, titled “Jaku’ Dalam Edisi Baru” (Proverb Book Revised Edition).
According to a press statement from the Foundation, this book represents the newest contribution to their extensive range of publications that focus on Iban knowledge and language.
“The purpose for publishing this book is for documenting an exhaustive list of Iban proverbs numbering 10,145, of which 681 are new proverbs. Previously 9, 464 proverbs had been published in an earlier publication entitled Jaku’ Dalam Edisi Satu (Proverb Book First Edition) published in 2006.
“This publication can become a rich source of reference to administrators, politicians, professors, lecturers, teachers, students and members of the public,” said the statement.
The book, described as a hardcover edition containing 744 pages, is available for RM100.00 per copy.
