KOTA SAMARAHAN: More than 1,500 children coloured their way to prizes at Farley Kota Samarahan’s 8th Annual Children’s Colouring Contest today.
The contest, aimed at nurturing creativity, encouraging self-expression and fostering family bonding, featured three categories: Group A (10 to 12 years), Group B (seven to nine years) and Group C (four to six years).
“The top three winners proudly received a bicycle, a hamper, and a trophy.

“In addition, 10 consolation prizes and 10 encouragement prizes were awarded in every category, ensuring that many children were recognised for their creativity.
“Every registered participant also brought home a door gift, creating joyful smiles all around,” Farley Kota Samarahan said in a statement.
Families also enjoyed a host of engaging side programmes, including free dental checks by the Kota Samarahan Divisional Dental Office, an exhibition by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) showcasing police vehicles, and displays by the Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) that allowed children to explore fire trucks and met real-life heroes.
The event was further enlivened by a clown performance, colourful face painting sessions, and free food sampling from participating suppliers.
Farley Kota Samarahan extends its heartfelt gratitude to all involved for making the Children’s Colouring Contest 2025 a joyful and meaningful occasion.
“The overwhelming response reflects the strong community spirit that the event continues to foster year after year.
“The success of today’s event was made possible through the enthusiasm of the participants, the support of parents and sponsors, and the dedication of the staffs, all of whom contributed to a smooth and memorable experience for everyone,” it said.
